TEAM EFFECTIVENESS PROGRAM

WHY GO THROUGH THIS PROGRAM?

As employees work hard in organizations to realize the business strategy, it is clear that the journey can be more enjoyable and productive if synergies can be harnessed.  The advantages of having high-performing teams have been enumerated many times with the goal of making the whole much more than the sum of the parts.

Further, many realize that having strong stars in an organization is not enough.  These stars have to learn to work together in a cohesive manner before the exponential results will show.

The good news is that one can achieve a perfect team with a bunch of imperfect individuals, so long as the individuals are convinced they need to be collaborative instead of competitive; and then given the skills to help them be so.

Organizations can easily achieve results if they have teams of like-minded people.  However, they may not achieve outstanding results this way.  Outstanding results come from the ability to view the business from diverse perspectives, and having skills and processes to help the diverse perspectives gel into workable, sustainable business solutions that make step changes in output.

However, the more diverse the team, the higher the likelihood of friction and competition, despite good intentions.  High performing teams realize the value of the diversity and spend as much time carrying out their work as well as learning to become more effective as teams.

So this program helps participants to realize what it takes to be an outstanding team member and they are given tools to help them bring improvements in all the teams they are a part of.

The concepts and tools shared here have been researched by prominent authors and have been shown to be effective if well used with good intent.  It does require some effort for many of us and the program is designed to allow for a lot of practice.
